By Lieutenant Scott Maurice
June 6, 2018

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) will hold the 7th Annual Child Safety Day on August 11th at the Village at Leesburg, Leesburg, VA.

This free event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature first responder vehicles and displays from the LCSO, Leesburg Police Department, Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, Loudoun Child Protective Services, Loudoun County Fire and Rescue, Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter (LAWS)/Loudoun Citizens for Social Justice, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the FBI, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Inova Loudoun Hospital Pediatrics, and the Inova Blood Donor Services Bloodmobile.

Many of the displays at Child Safety Day will provide information to parents on how they can protect their child from becoming a victim of a crime.

This year the LCSO is inviting Loudoun youth to “lend a hand in fighting crime” by dipping their hands in non-toxic, washable paint and placing their hand-prints on our Sheriff’s Office car.

The event will also include live entertainment, a moon bounce and games.
